Question by single 30-35: does minor fender bender require police report?
my mom was at a stop light, when a senior driver bumped the rear of her auto. no police was called in, so both drivers exchanged insurance information. my question is: should my mom have gone to the police station and reported this incident anyways? just to cover her side of the incident. she lives in florida, a “no fault” state.

States may vary on reporting minor incidents..You mother’s actions were probably corect for the minor accident..In our state..if the damage is over$ 250..an accident report to the State Motor Vehicle Dept is required.
